Hidden Prairie Nature Preserve is owned by the Shirley Heinze Land Trust and encompasses 60 acres in the northwest corner of the Hobart Marsh complex. It is characterized by an ecotone that ranges from wet-mesic prairie to swamp to marsh to open water. The prairie is fairly high quality with such species as Prairie Dock, Marsh Blazing Star, Tall Coreopsis, Yellow Coneflower, Golden Alexanders and Blue-Eyed Grass.
